Food as an aphrodisiac is a time-honored concept that is believed and practiced here at Smorgasms. Stimulating the senses with sweets can create a rush of endorphins similar to the rush we enjoy during another of our favorite pastimes. Self-gratification, taboo in some circles, is encouraged. It certainly doesnt need to be a private activity and we have yet to hear of any blindness among our customers. Whether alone or with friends, indulging in Smorgasms always brings squeals of delight and lingering sighs of satisfaction. Panting is not uncommon and there have been rumors of howling. Barking, though, is not encouraged.

About Us

I have made candy for friends and relatives for years and every year my group of recipients said the same thing…."Why don't you make these available to everyone?"I had to admit that I harbored secret dreams of owning my own store, offering the public some tasty treats and possibly some laughs.I started out selling them for party favors, hostess gifts, bridal showers and various catered affairs. The overwhelming response inspired me to try the Internet as a way to make them available to folks outside of the Los Angeles area and as a step towards my goal of opening a shop somewhere.
I am currently a small operation working out of a commercial kitchen during their off hours. I also work as a free-lance chef for high-end catering companies throughout the Los Angeles area. The odd ball hours are a bit of a challenge but onward and upward is my motto and my passion for bringing Smorgasms to one and all shall not be swayed.We will do customized, personalized packages for your special event i.e.: bridal showers, anniversaries, or add them to your dinner party place settings or as hostess walk-away gifts. The possibilities are endless.For those of you in the Los Angeles area, I am available as a chef for small affairs.

Toffee Trollops are the perfect balance of sweetness to salt. Buttery toffee sits on a bed of the finest quality roasted almonds, cashews, Brazil nuts, hazelnuts, and pecans. Peanuts Envy is the best peanut brittle known to human kind ….ok ok that could be just a wee bit of bragging….I am a bit biased, being the creator and all…but it really is a leap above most brittle….loaded with roasted, lightly salted peanuts, this brittle is very crisp and very crunchy without being rock hard …a state that is desirable for some things (tee hee hee) but not peanut brittle. Even people that "don’t like peanut brittle" rave about it.
